Raise Your Vagina iQ™: Why Language Is Power

What if we told you that one of the biggest obstacles to women's health isn't biology—it's vocabulary?

At pH-D Feminine Health, we believe that the words we use (or don’t use) shape how we understand our bodies, seek care, and show up in conversations about our health. That’s why we launched the Raise Your Vagina iQ™ campaign: to help women everywhere build the vocabulary, confidence, and clarity they need to speak up and feel seen.

Because you can’t treat what you can’t talk about.

Progress Starts with Knowledge

Many of us grew up using nicknames like hoo-ha or vajayjay—playful terms that were often the only words we were given. And while there’s nothing wrong with nicknames, they shouldn’t be our only option.

We believe women should have access to both: the language that makes them feel comfortable and the medically accurate terms that empower them to care for their health. That language gap? It doesn’t just follow us into adulthood—it holds us back.

We hesitate in doctor’s offices. We suffer through symptoms without speaking up. We feel unsure how to explain what’s going on in our own bodies. This isn’t just a communication issue—it’s a health issue.

That’s why Raise Your Vagina iQ™ is more than a campaign. It’s a movement to normalize smart, stigma-free conversations about vaginal health. It’s about turning whispers into wisdom and embarrassment into empowerment.

Why It Matters

Because too many women still don’t have the words.

As women, we’ve been taught from an early age to be quiet, polite, and vague when it comes to our bodies. The result? Generations who enter adulthood—and even menopause—with no idea how to talk about common issues like dryness, odor, or discharge.

We internalize the idea that our bodies are too messy, too complicated, too inappropriate to name. But the consequences of that silence are real:

  • Missed diagnoses

  • Untreated infections

  • Shame around perfectly normal symptoms

  • A lack of confidence in doctor’s appointments and relationships

We launched this campaign because we’ve been there.
We know what it’s like to feel unsure of how to describe a symptom. We know how empowering it is when you finally do find the words. And we believe every woman deserves to speak like a pH-D™.

Another powerful outcome of this campaign? It opens doors to conversations across generations. We’ve seen women talk to their daughters about periods. Mothers open up about menopause. Friends share quiz results and finally ask the questions they’ve been holding onto for years.

When we raise each other’s Vagina iQ, we raise the standard for care.

Smart Women Use Smart Words

The Raise Your Vagina iQ™ campaign is here to elevate the language of feminine health. Through education, conversation, and a touch of humor, we’re making it easier to:

  • Use medically accurate terms with confidence

  • Share stories with friends and family

  • Know what's normal, what’s not, and when to speak up

Here’s how we’re doing it:

The Quiz

An approachable, myth-busting quiz that asks real questions about vaginal health—from anatomy to odor to pH balance. It’s educational, eye-opening, and shareable.  Are you a VagiNewbie or a VaGenius?  Every answer is a chance to learn.

Vagina 101

Because understanding your anatomy shouldn’t be harder than understanding your skincare. Our visuals make terms like vulva and discharge clear, accessible, and (dare we say) beautiful.

Smart Talk

Real stories from real women who didn’t have the words—and what happened when they found them. From missed BV diagnoses to confusing dryness in menopause, these stories show just how much language matters.

The Manifesto

A bold reminder that we use smart, clinical language in every other area of life. Why should talking about our bodies be any different?

Deeannah Seymour: A Champion for Women’s Health

The Raise Your Vagina IQ campaign is led by Deeannah Seymour, the visionary founder of pH-D Feminine Health. For decades, Deeannah has fought tirelessly to keep boric acid accessible to women, ensuring that a natural, clinically-backed solution for feminine health is not only available but easy to find. Her commitment to ingredient honesty and product accessibility has made pH-D Feminine Health a trusted name in vaginal wellness. Through advocacy and determination, Deeannah has pushed back against barriers that kept women from understanding and accessing safe, effective solutions for their health.

The Future of Vagina IQ

The Raise Your Vagina iQ™ campaign isn’t just a moment—it’s a movement. It’s a call for women everywhere to speak confidently, seek accurate information, and feel empowered in their health choices. At pH-D Feminine Health, we believe that smart women deserve smart words. We’re building a future where conversations about feminine health are normalized, destigmatized, and celebrated.

By embracing the right words and elevating the conversation, we’re doing more than just changing how women talk about their bodies—we’re changing how they care for them.

And we’re just getting started. pH-D is committed to raising the Vagina iQ™ across every life stage—from menstruation to postmenopause—and into intimacy and sexual wellness. Through upcoming quizzes, new educational content, and stigma-free tools, we’re helping women understand their bodies, advocate for better care, and feel confident in their choices every step of the way.
